RMI Pipeline Tool
RMI Pipeline v1 is a complete tool, fully integrated into Maya, that centralizes asset and shot management, streamlines incremental saving, simplifies publishing, and ensures visual, collaborative tracking of your scenes.

RMI Pipeline v1 is a powerful, all-in-one production management tool designed specifically for Autodesk Maya. Fully integrated into your 3D workspace, it brings together everything you need to manage assets, shots, and scenes in one centralized, visually intuitive environment. Whether you’re working solo or with a large team, RMI Pipeline v1 ensures that your workflow stays clean, consistent, and efficient from start to finish.
At its core, the pipeline provides centralized project management. You can connect to a single project directory, with RMI automatically detecting whether you’re working on an asset or a shot. The interface then gives you instant access to neatly organized folders, structured by internal categories, so you always know exactly where things are. This removes the guesswork from file navigation and keeps everyone on the same page.

The workflow is optimized for both asset and shot production. A clear, tab-based interface lets you switch between them instantly, with searchable, filterable lists for quick access. You can even create new workspaces on the fly from standard pipeline templates, ensuring every new asset or shot follows the same clean, professional structure. Internal categories can be color-coded and tagged with statuses like TODO, WIP, PR, RETAKE, or DONE, giving you a clear visual overview of production progress.
Managing and opening scenes is fast and visual. Scenes are displayed in sortable lists with details like file size and modification date. Hover over a scene name to see a preview, or open the integrated visualizer to inspect it in detail, zoom, or pan. Right-click menus let you import, reference, open folders, or view assets instantly, and the system intelligently handles both edit and publish versions so you never lose track of the latest file.

Visual quality control is just as important. With one click, you can generate a quick playblast screenshot of your current scene, stored in the project’s visualization folder. The interface even uses small icons to show if a scene already has a preview image, and the color-coded status system means you can spot problem areas at a glance.
When it comes to saving and publishing, RMI Pipeline v1 saves time and reduces mistakes. The Increment Save feature automatically increases the file version with each save, while Publish Selection exports your chosen elements to the correct folder, numbering them automatically. New scene creation is standardized, with smart naming conventions and optional template scenes for tasks like Lookdev.
Collaboration is built in. You can attach comments directly to scenes — stored in lightweight JSON files — so notes and feedback are always where you need them. Updating a category’s status automatically records who made the change, and a global status.json file keeps a full history of project progress. This makes handoffs smoother and ensures nothing gets lost in communication.

Finally, RMI Pipeline v1 comes with a complete, ready-to-use pipeline template. This includes a fully structured, production-standard project setup that you can duplicate for new work in seconds. It’s designed for scalability, so whether you’re managing a single short film or multiple projects at once, you can spin up organized, consistent environments without having to start from scratch.
In short, RMI Pipeline v1 turns Maya into a centralized, visual, and collaborative production hub. It removes friction, enforces consistency, and lets artists focus on creating — while keeping the technical side of project management under control.
